We are wildlife biologists from Bavaria and Styria, but feel at home anywhere on this planet. So far, our main attention have been the large carnivores, wolf, brown bear, and lynx, but our experience goes well beyond these species. We have carried out projects in different countries: Besides Canada, Germany and Turkey, we have spent most of the last nine years in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. Barbara has a masters degree in zoology, Christoph a masters degree in forestry.
Our mission is to demonstrate that wildlife and humans can co-exist in close proximity. We try to achieve this through model projects, but also as consultants in other projects. Our approach is the integrated management - we believe that successful wildlife management has to take all political, ecological, social, and economical factors into account.
Through our project work and travel we have built a comprehensive photo archive, which we would like to offer you in our photo gallery.
bcp works in close co-operation with WWF International, the Large Carnivore Initiative for Europe, Jack Wolfskin, People's Trust for Endangered Species, the European Nature Trust, and Wildlife International.
We are glad to present you our work and would be happy to join forces with you for a sustainable development and use of our natural resources.
Barbara and Christoph Promberger
